In Tune specialises in the woodwind instrument family offering high quality repair work, and new and second-hand instruments at excellent prices. Proprietor David Kyle has over 25 years experience working in the woodwind trade, making, repairing and sales.

After training as a mechanical engineer at Vickers, Barrow-in-Furness, he studied at Leeds College of Music and Newark Technology College. He gained a Certificate and a Diploma in Musical Instrument Technology, specialising in the making and repair of woodwind instruments.
Before starting In Tune he worked for 5 years at Wood, Wind & Reed in Cambridge making historical clarinets and 8 years at John Myatt Woodwind & Brass, running their woodwind repair department. He has also worked freelance making and repairing. In Tune Woodwind Sales and Repair is based in Ulverston, Cumbria, 3 miles from the Lake District National Park in the northwest of England.
